Hello, was so happy to find this story!! We just adopted our very first pit-mix from a rescue group about a month ago. We were very aprehensive, but he has been a joy all the way around!! I take care of children in my home, so all the parents had to meet him and approve before we made the final commitment, but it went off very smoothly. The only problem was his sheer love of everyone!!Having 50lbs. of sheer muscle jump up and kiss a 30lb. child was not working!! We worked very hard on that though and now they respect each other and have very few lapses. I did have some negative hysteria from one of my friends boy-friends, but I guess he has gotten over it. All the kids love him and our German Shepard pup as well. Yes, I guess we are crazy!! Have not had pupies for 15yrs. and all of a sudden we have 2??? Oh well keeps me busy and off the streets at night!!
