COVER

Can we make Trinity famous and into her own book series? Doubtful. But that didn’t stop us from creating the first-ever children’s book featuring our girl and the ladies. We went to the library on Saturday and saw a book called Ivan the Terrier. So we thought, we can do that. And we did. Not bad for a couple of hours work.

CHECK IT OUT HERE! When it comes up on the screen, choose the Fullscreen option in the top left corner, it makes for better reading.  Let us know what you think.  I FORGOT TO ADD THIS THE FIRST TIME, DONT’T FORGET, SHE IS ALREADY A MOVIE STAR!

We had some supervised floor play time with Lucy recently and Trinity brought her bone along to observe what was going on.  To say she is nosey would be the wrong word, she just likes to be a part of things and feel like part of the family.  I have to say that she truly loves being in the family, and I’m not sure what things were like before she came around.  Anyway, I snapped this picture during their play time.  What you can’t see is Mom and Dad sitting on each side of Lucy, and the other two ladies are also involved.  I’m not sure how we all missed being in the picture, because I took about 20 others and we all make an appearance in them.  Yes, even dad, who rarely makes an appearance in the blog.  I started thinking of what would be a good caption for the pic, but I wasn’t able to come up with anything.  Can you?  Post a good caption in the comment section, and we will pick the best one.  The winner can do our next post, complete with a picture of your own favorite dog.  Good luck.

Michael Vick gets out of prison today, or tomorrow, depending on what you read.  He enters home confinement and eventually will return to the NFL.  I don’t think there is any doubt about that.  I’ve had a few people ask me what I thought about him leaving prison, and the truth is, I feel he has paid his debt to society and now he gets his second chance.  He did what he had to do, but he needs to live his life the right way now and stay out of trouble.  Money can’t help you make good decisions, but it can certainly help you make bad ones.  Is he a bad person?  I don’t know.  Did he do a very bad thing?  He sure did.  Did he surround himself with people to allow himself to make bad decisions?  Most certainly.  Does he deserve to return to the NFL?  I’m not so sure, but I do think he will get that chance.   The other news coming out today was that Vick is going to work with the Humane Society to do anti-dog fighting ads.  Here is where I disagree.  I don’t want Vick telling me and my kids not to dog fight, and that dog fighting is bad.  Just like I don’t want someone who just received a DUI telling my not to drink and drive.  Don’t bring him into the spotlight on this issue, keep the focus on the dogs.  LIKE ESPN DID HERE. Don’t show me Vick.  Show me Donna and Tim at BADRAP…Show me Donna at HOGPR…Show me Kelly and the folks at Paws New England.  Don’t show me Vick.  SHOW ME THE DOGS! Just my two cents…

Finally, another chance to take some pics of ladies and Trin on a quiet Sunday morning.  Lucy, and her big sisters, had some lounging time on the living room floor this morning.  Of course, our girl couldn’t let them all hang out by themselves.  So she went and got her bone and, after sniffing the new one for a couple of minutes, she laid down beside them and started chewing.  Lucy could hear what was going on but wasn’t too interested.  Ditto for Trinity.  While she knows that the bay is laying there, she shows little interest, aside from the occasional sniff.  Yes, another quiet Sunday morning.  By the way, Lucy turned one month old on Thursday….oh how time flies.

Getting Trinity and Lucy in the same picture has been difficult to say the least, but this week we were finally able to get some.  Above is my first attempt of the week, and while it’s only a couple of feet and our girl Trinity, at least it was something.  Trinity just really isn’t that interested, and if she is she doesn’t stick around long enough for a picture.  Usually by the time I grab the camera she has already moved onto something more interesting, like her bed.  Finally on Saturday morning, she stuck around next to Lady #3 long enough for me to snap this photo.  Not too bad, and it only took four weeks!
