Our Girl…

It’s been a long time since an update, or a picture, I have not been good at posting in the last three months.  Not exactly the post I wanted to have to write…

The last three weeks our girl has not been herself.  She was uncomfortable, had trouble moving around, in short she just wasn’t Trinity.

We had an MRI on Wednesday, 9/28/11, and the doctors found a large tumor growing in and around Trinity’s spine and into her pelvis.  There was nothing that could be done to save her, and to let her go on this way would have been cruel.  We knew we had to let her go.

The ladies had a chance to say their final goodbyes on Thursday night and Friday morning, and they were troopers.  They know that we made the right decision, but man are they going to miss their girl.  They took this one last picture with her on Thursday night.

Trinity passed peacefully on Friday morning.  Too soon.  We can feel a sense of relief knowing that she is no longer uncomfortable, but it doesn’t make it much easier.  We can only hope that the 3.5 years she spent with her ladies were the greatest 3.5 years that any dog has ever known!

We love you Trin.
